Journal Aims and Scope
The Journal of Ocular Diseases and Treatment is an open-access journal of international repute that publishes leading-edge research on common ocular diseases and associated prevalence, causes, and treatments, with special focus on blindness, visual impairment, and ocular diseases with a genetic basis. The manuscripts published in this journal are aimed at equipping medical professionals with adequate skills to clinically manage ocular diseases by providing guided practical experience. The journal aims to ensure that up?to?date and relevant information reaches medical professionals of all levels in countries with high burden of eye disease and blindness. Manuscripts published in this journal combine clinical issues with public health approaches, such as research, technology, planning, management, advocacy, and training. The Journal of Ocular Diseases and Treatment publishes reviews, research articles, and short communications aimed at educating its readership about ocular diseases, and their causes and management; this is especially important in lieu of the burden imposed by ocular diseases on the patients and healthcare systems.
