Publication ethics play key role in establishing the publisher’s sincerity in upholding publication standards. This is an important element to win the trust and faith of the scholarly community. Authors, reviewers, editor(s), and publisher are the essential stakeholders of this entire process and their ability to stick to research policies and ethics encourage the scholarly world towards original scientific research.
CORE Publishers strictly believes following the standards norms prescribed by the international ethics committees like COPE, DOAJ, OASPA, and WAME to maintain the quality of scientific research.
Originality
CORE Publishers expect authors to submit original and unpublished manuscripts in all forms and it is mandatory for the authors to submit a declaration while submitting their manuscript stating that “it is their original work and it is nether published before nor under the consideration for publishing elsewhere”.
Plagiarism
CORE Publishers encourages authors to evaluate their manuscripts for plagiarized content prior to its submission. It is our policy to not to encourage plagiarism in any form, except to the extent of accepted level, which is unavoidable. If our quality team finds any manuscripts with unacceptable percent of plagiarism, such manuscripts are returned with suggestions for resubmission.
Acknowledgement
Author/s or institutions would seek the support of individuals, agencies, institutions, and corporate entities for support in various forms and it is the duty of the researchers/institutions to acknowledge such support to uphold publication spirit.
Copyrights
It is essential for the author to obtain prior permission to reproduce any image, picture, and diagram, part of the text or formula if it is reproduced as it is and author should acknowledge the source to protect the copyrights of the original producer/publication. Author(s) should get written permission for partial or complete reproduction of such content from the original copyrights holder.
Duplicate/redundant data or manuscript submission
Any manuscript with repetition of data, content or information that is already published either by the same authors or by others with different title with the same publisher or with other publishers is considered redundancy. According to the APA code of ethics (APA Publication Manual, 2010) duplicate publication is violation of publication ethics and will be rejected. Exact reproduction of any data or work requires prior permission of the copyright holder.
Citation Manipulation
Academic and scholarly citations enhance the author visibility in the research fraternity. However, no manipulations with a view to deliberately increase citations will be discouraged.
Data fabrication/falsification
Any data produced for analysis which is false and fabricated to write the manuscript, without conducting such experiments would be unethical and we discourage such practices by summarily rejecting such manuscripts detected with fabricated data.
Author Contribution(s)
Representation of author’s information would be generally in the order of priority of their original contribution to the research. Any false representation would be against the research ethics. All contributions, including the students and the lab technicians must be acknowledged to promote the morale and the spirit of the scientific research. All the authors listed in the manuscript must abide by the values, information, views and opinions expressed in the manuscript.
Conflict of Interest
CORE Publishers expect transparency and expects author (s) to acknowledge the financial source that extended support for the completion of the research. Authors must duly disclose the source that sponsored the study clearly in the manuscript to prove its authenticity. Such declaration would allow readers to form independent opinion of their own and judge the study accordingly. Conflict of interest must not restrict the researcher from disclosing the facts. Affiliations and collaborations with agencies in producing the research work must also be cited clearly to avoid bias in research findings.
Reprinting the published articles
Prior written permission from the copyright holder must be obtained to reprint all the published material.
Norms for Clinical Research
The privacy and the human rights of all the individuals or patients that is part of any biomedical research must be honored with due respect. Prior permission and consent of such individuals must be taken in consent forms. The researcher must take enough care to protect the identity of the volunteers that formed part of clinical research. Patients and individuals must be clearly explained of the side effects if any and measures must be taken not to threaten the life of such individuals during the research or post research period. Author must clearly state the methods and materials prior permission must be taken from the competent authority to conduct such experiments. Editor may also demand the author (s) to produce such documents prior to approving the manuscript for publication.

Ethics committee approval is essential in all such cases. Violation of human, animal and environmental laws is liable for punishment.
